Founded in 1956 by the late Rita Lewis of Arlington, MMOTA-Founding Chapter is the original chapter of the state organization known as the Massachusetts Mothers of Twins Association. We are members of both the state organization, and the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs.
Being a new parent to multiples can be an overwhelming experience that not a lot of people understand. We know exactly what you are going through at every stage of your children’s development. We are here to provide you with the social, emotional, and educational support you need.
MMOTA-Founding Chapter’s objective is to provide support to mothers of twins, triplets and higher-order multiple births (MOTs) in Boston and surrounding suburbs. Toward that objective, meetings and other activities are held for the purpose of sharing information and advice pertaining to raising multiple-birth children.
Through MMOTA-Founding Chapter meetings and events, you will find sound advice, support, and friendship from “seasoned” MOTs who have “been there and done that!” No one knows the trials and tribulations of raising two or more children at a time than does another MOT.
