About MMOTA-Founding Chapter

Welcome to the Massachusetts Mothers of Twins Association-Founding Chapter (MMOTA-Founding Chapter)!  Currently, our membership includes over 200+ mothers of twins, triplets and quadruplets, and our ranks are growing every day.  Some of our members even have two sets of twins!

Founded in 1956 by the late Rita Lewis of Arlington, MMOTA-Founding Chapter is the original chapter of the state organization known as the Massachusetts Mothers of Twins Association (www.mmota.org).

MMOTA-Founding Chapter's objective is to provide support to mothers of twins, triplets and higher-order multiple births (MOTs).  Toward that objective, meetings and other activities are held for the purpose of sharing information and advice pertaining to raising multiple-birth children.

Through MMOTA-Founding Chapter meetings and events, you will find sound advice, support and friendship from "seasoned" MOTs who have “been there and done that!”  No one knows the trials and tribulations of raising two or more children at a time than does another MOT.

Among the many benefits of membership are the following:

All of these programs are just a few of the ways we share what we own and what we have learned firsthand about raising more than one child at a time.  Please feel free to join us!   We always welcome MOTs-to-be, new MOTs and experienced MOTs to all of our club's events.
